How are lessons scheduled?

You will have a fixed weekly lesson time, scheduled at your convenience, subject to your teachers availability. Suzuki Group Classes are held every other Saturday from 11am-2pm, your time depends on your repertoire level. Recitals are held each month, the dates may be viewed on our calendar page. Ensembles meet Saturday afternoons.

How do we get started?

What is the Suzuki method?

The Suzuki method is an internationally known music curriculum and teaching philosophy dating from the mid-20th century, created by Japanese violinist and pedagogue Shinichi Suzuki(1898–1998). The method aims to create an environment for learning music which parallels the linguistic environment of acquiring a native language. Suzuki believed that this environment would also help to foster good moral character.

What kind of instrument do I need?

You will need a nylon-string Classical Guitar, we have one you may use for your free intro, at that time your teacher will tell you what size to get, depending on the age and size of the student.
